Spa Time

As most friend of mine know, I am a water field. I love it in all
forms-- swimming, sailing, kayaks, ocean, lake, pool, hot tub.
Budapest then, us a magical place for me as swimming is a central part
of life and quite revered. This is me getting changed in my "kabine"
for a spa at the Gellert pools, lovely art nouveau baths at a
prominent Buda hotel.

Castles

Budapest is full of castles, chuches set into stone, pretty statues
and carvings. This is one just outside the famous Gellert spa.

En Garde!

A photo of a Budapest advert. Love it.

New Friend in Hungary

Almost immediately upon getting to Budapest, I made a new friend- her
name is Alison, spelled just like my sweetie's. She was super-smart,
full of good ideas about how to spend time, and liked to enjoy the
food and drink (just like me). She was a good buddy, and although I
did not consider her age difference much at the time, I think she
reminded me a bit of myself -10 years, and it was sweet to be around
someone with so much energy, curiosity and potential. I am sure she
will have a fascinating life.

We only hung out for about 3 days before she headed to Croatia, but
they were good ones. Budapest was lovely and Alison had a huge hand
in making it so.
