Georgetown has a farmers market, which is a lovely way to shop for food, and flowers, and crafts and junk. There is a lot of hippie crafty things, too much for my taste, and not enough random junk-- but the food and flowers are high-redemption. After living in a neighborhood with no supermarket, getting locally grown food locally feels extremely special. There was even knife sharpener there-- and how many times have you thought about wanting to do that, but not really been sure where to start? I know a place on Saturdays...
I got these poppies plus a lot of other yummy things in preparation for a party/barbeque. This is Wyatt and I out in front of All City Coffee, which has the 2nd best coffee in Seattle. I feel so Clarissa-Dalloway-on-Bond-street with my big bouquet of flowers and my urbane dog.

you do know, of course, that your allusion has just driven me to put Ms. Woolf on my summer reading list...
