This is Alison in the garden by our fence of roses.
My roses and some climbing peas are the only thing looking at all good so far this year. My basil is dying, our string beans are not growing, all the stuff I planted from seed (exception, previously-mentioned peas) are fully stunted. Last year there was a garden walk in mid-July, and I was fully harvesting tomatoes and cucumbers, this year, it seems like it will be impossible. We decided not to participate anyway (too much work to prepare). I suppose this is what happens with gardens and weather, I'll try to just be thankful for the pretty roses.
