This is a quick picture from a recent outing to La Conner, which is a cute little waterfront town just past the Skagit valley (tulip town), but before the San Juans. We took a day trip as an excuse to drive the new car, and to get out to somewhere we haven't been yet. I always feel like I am missing out on Seattle in some way-- in the winter we are always scheming about all the things we will do (hike, camp, etc.) and in the summer we are so happy it is warm, we lay around in the garden drinking cocktails and taking the dog to the park. Anyway, this trip t La Conner was an attempt at seeing what there is to be seen.
