Moscow Favorites & Eastern European hair

Moscow is a rocking city. It has a truly large and cosmopolitan feel-- like New York or Paris. I loved every minute we were there. My favorite things:

-The Metro and Metro Stations (they were all varied in style and amazing. Statues, mosaics, amazon fixtures. I loved the metro very much, and will post more on it later.)

-The Soviet iconography in all the architecture (wheat, hammer and sickle, 5-pointed stars)

-The frescoes in St. Basil's Cathedral

-Gorky's house. (Jellyfish banister)

-The tremendous haircuts (New project: catalog the wondrous haircuts of Eastern and Central
Europe-- hereafter denoted as E.E.H.)

I'm not sure why I find that so amusing, but it's my new favorite thing. I'm totally getting a jellyfish banister tattoo.
